I thought that this movie was a great film to show to the class. we could really see the relationship between Daisy and Hoke go from not so good to best friends. In the beginning of the movie Daisy Accuses Hoke of stealing a can of salmon. she immediately wants to fire him but gets pursuaded otherwise. she gives him another chance and slowly realizes he is not too bad. Throughout the movie we see character development in both characters. In the first half of the movie Daisy did not even want to be seen with hokes. When he drove Daisy to temple, she wanted him to drive around back so they weren't seen, but soon she realizes that is not needed. She critiqued almost everything he did including his driving but soon starts to secretly starts to really like him even if she doesnt want to admit it. Hokes also gets a lot out of working for Daisy, he learns how to read and write and when Daisy buys a new car Hokes buys her old one from the shop. they were able to create a really good relationship but at the same time have boundries with each other. I really enjoyed watching this movie and the end even brought me to tears when Hokes was feeding her and she called him her best friend
